Like the topic name suggests post and discuss your strategies.

For me I stick to one general strategy that works the majority of the time, in which I start in (starting territories allowing) either Africa, South America, or Antarctica (in order of preference). After taking my first continent I look around at the map and find easy targets in the other Southern continents. I then attack them and take the continent they're on generally in a short number of turns.

If that all goes well I normally have the entire Southern half of the world, from which I get into a large war with the Northern half, which I fight mostly at sea for the main war, after a while it devolves into land combat and I eventually win. My record fastest game using this strategy is 14 turns.

However, when the strategy does not work it can devolve quickly, most of the time though if you act quickly you can salvage the game, but it'll take a lot longer than 14 turns.
Psst the secret, and this isn't the most... sporty thing to do is to watch the map just after taking your continent, most people will be fighting for their continent still, when someone seems about to take their continent it's the time to strike.

I wont post my strategy in detail. Most of you wont care cuz of my record (lil brothers.... -_-).

I normally like to start in british isles/greenland. Take BI, GL, and Quebec. Then I go for either Europe or NA.

If I go NA I ussually go SA and then I pick either africa or AA. If I go euro I go after middle east and then africa next.

If I couldnt get a decent northern position I prefer SA or AA. I hate asia. by the time you get decent holdings there, someone has a k or 2 already, or if you succeeding in taking it, you have a huge border to worry about, not to mention the sea.

You can take Asia easily, having said that I hate it too, but for me it's because I mainly fight on sea (or at least areas I can support easily from nearby SS) and the giant expanse of easily invadable land except for a few annoying chokes if you're attacking, but great for defense I must admit, isn't quite the most attractive prospect for me.

Also the whole taking a China port gets rid of around 20something income is something I'd rather use on an enemy than have to worry about happening to me.

forest has a solid strategy.

controlling the sea in RNG is key there is just so much sea.

i also have a NA start that only loses to a strong player starting in Asia.

In quick terms I take antartica within as few terms as humanly possible and see from there.
If any of the 3 continents are untaken or basically so ill just take them.

95% of the time I make an SS and ayttack africa.
I pretty much try to spend as little gold on men as possible so I am able to make a sweet fleet.
Normally I make 2 SS amd them just save my gold as much as pos (I mean I still fight, just not huge wars)

I usually try to get Africa, and then quickly advance into Asia through MidEast.
Another way is to get Australia and then MidEast. In most games, by the time you have Aussie and you complete MidEast, the player in Africa should have just finished off opposition. Its wiser to truce with him, since Africa is simply too easy to def.

Then advance into Asia, beat all the mini powers there and complete the continent in some turns. By now, you are a world power, AND you are not to be sandwiched, since the player in America is too far to threaten you immediately, while the player in Africa/Europe will probably get sandwiched.

Antartica + Australia + south america + north America = Win

Antartica + south america + Australia + north America = Win

Africa and south america = Brazil + northwest africa in first land take them 2 continent fast and go in antartica = Win

Europe + Asia = Win Never take Na after europe

Asia + Australia = Go fast in antartica and win

South america and north america = go fast in antartica and win

Europe + africa or
Africa + europe = Loose

Africa + australia = Loose

Africa + asia = Loose

Africa = Na = Loose

Asia + Na = Loose

I've say 5 position Of winner
5 Position Of looser

Never take africa in first too bad North america too never !

If you like take australia go fast in asia not in antartica its to late but if u can take mideastern antartica.

For win fast need 120 city = Asia + europe + africa + europe + antartica = 120 city no need be in america and in isles ...

I agree with you in the fact that Europe is a small continent thas has a very nice income for its size. However, in almost every game I have played there are at least 2 people in there at beginning, because of the very nice low income territories.

The most important however is that you are practically in the middle of the world. This increases the chances you will be backstabbed/sandwiched by the other superpowers. You need to be very diplomatic to ensure survival in Europe. And most important, you must not advance into Africa by any means, since this WILL get you sandwiched. Asia is the only way to advance, and only if the player in North America does not control South America(if he does, Europe is a nice place for expansion, especially if you are in war at the other side of the map.

Firstly, never scorn people because of their English.

I find europe to be not great because you are always sitting right in the middle.
Also, it is so highly unlikely that you can ever recover if you lose a war.
For instance, if I start with Antartica then spread out to, say, SA and Aus - if I get 2v1 and lose those 2 continents, it is pretty likely I will hold onto Antartica and come come back.
Not nearly as likely if you sitting squarely in the middle.
Also, you know income is delivered on a city-size basis, so no place can give "nice income" because it is a direct function of city number

I like SA/Africa/Antarctica. I find those places kinda crowded, though.

I hate europe and asia because it's surrounded by so much land, and at the start of the game, newbs don't recognize the borders between europe and asia and it's hard to reason with them and be like no, don't hit Mongolia, go western europe after ukraine.. or w/e

Also, one thing I really like sometimes is taking an island and then taking Australian. Having aus early on and then sitting on it can insure that you're a player in the game, and will be one of the deciding factors between two larger warring nations.

Never take africa in first

I take Africa first around 40% of the time, and the vast majority of those games I win, quickly.

Because from Africa you can invade Australia, Antarctica, South America, Europe, Mid East, and if you take Africa before most people get their continents then you're guaranteed an empire that, if it doesn't quickly get you the win, will at least be easy to defend and expand from, and quickly at that.

Also I try to use the blitz as much as I can, the more cities you can quickly take makes a massive difference.
