Okay, I'll start this by saying don't worry I haven't been playing Napoleon all day and abandoning you guys, I've been on the computer around an hour a day lately, but I'll come back to you all!
Saying that, anyone play Napoleon: Total War yet?
And if you have, what did you think of it?
I have a little, and all I can say is, for the most part, wow. I've sort of made a hero type figure out of Napoleon and personally playing through N:TW has been amazing for me, perhaps because of that, and other than a few bugs it plays great (at least on my computer). I've gotten entrenched in the story and trying to win it for France, which I feel more and more was unfairly targeted by the other nations.
However that brings up another thing, am I the only one frustrated that unless you march your army up to the steps of an enemy nation's capital, and destroy its entire military, the bastards won't sign a peace treaty? Also, why is it that a nation with a single territory can make an army about 40 units strong (for your sake finish off nations you have almost destroyed, I left Austria with two territories to fight off those uppity Prussians and three turns later they had around 4000 men)?
Anyway, so just post your thoughts on N:TW, your opinion of the game so far and whatnot.
PS. I play every game on the hardest difficulty, which probably has something to do with my two complaints... IMO it makes it more satisfying to win and you get more skilled at it to win in the first place, what difficulty do you folks play on?
