What exactly are S ships particularly good at?

Also, SS ships with roar is silly. It is one of the things which differentiates between good and bad players, who can keep all their ships roared.
If SS have roar, wouldn't take any skill.

true but i am lazy as f**k and pulling them back to land to roar them is annoying ^^
and i am just getting into using ship S right but if u can handle them well then they are good imo

But what specifically can they do better than anything else?

I can handle my ships perfectly well, but I don't find they add anything I couldn't achieve better with the other ships. Except perhaps taunt, but it's range is too short and it is too easily countered for the cost.

Increased taunt range sounds like it'd make the S ships imba. I prefer SS cause they are easier to micro especially when fighting multiple people or fronts. I wanna see someone fight SS v S though. I mean, how effective can taunt be when
A) It focuses the enemy ships to target one unit, which can be really bad when misused
B) The enemy is constantly re-manuevering units, its a ship war so taunt isn't most effective here
C) It's time taken away from other aspects of the ship fight

I've been too lazy and drunk to find any of the old Galenjude games, but I am 95% sure he was the best at shipfights with the new rng ships, he is using ship S very well. I'll give it a try to quickly explain the specific use of ship S...

Alright, we got a navy battle, mhhkeeeey.. And the ships are like all at a line shooting at each other, all normal right. So what you do with your ship S is that you pull it forward a bit, and then pull back. The reaction of the enemy ships is to chase after the ship, forgetting everything else and waste valuable firepower. Now this is near useless in small fight, since the enemy is without doubt able to quickly regain control of the ships. But now, imagine this in a big fight, where both players keep pouring out ships from their ports and the lines are very thick, the taunted player got no chance to pull back the ships and are forced to watch his ships kill them self. So yes, if used correctly ship S is a bitch.

Since you revived an old thread I had to read it too now since you are trolling me... damn you Psyco.

I never preached mass battleship S, I was speculating and since all of you weren't able to give any argument against it that made sense, that's how it stayed. But yeah, I've moved on from Battleship S massing ;)
