Plans for Next Update-- Suggestions Welcome

Plans for version 2.3:
Major Plans:
-Multiboard sorting: The databoard now sorts based on players' income (complete)
-Multiple beginning game options (complete)
-Players who fail to own land at the end of the turn for three consecutive turns will be considered dead upon the fourth. (complete)
-Terrain changes, some ship accessible places are now blocked (complete)
-Map now split into two versions: One where the terrain stays the same, and a new one which has a more devo-style feel to it. (complete)
-Variables implemented to incorporate more calculations in ranking system (incomplete)
-Users will be able to see detailed unit data via the control center/hero, including the amount of each unit they've trained, the amount of units killed per each unit type, and the amount of a specific type of unit a type of unit owned by the player has killed. (incomplete)
-Generals now have an autocast roar (complete)
-Recruitment Centers/Spawn Buildings now have two new abilities; one to select nearby centers, and another to set the rally point to the rally point of the current selected center. (complete)

Minor Changes:
-Players now able to ping other players via an ability in the control center, as well as enable/disable viewing the pings (complete)
-Some graphic changes (complete)
-Knights now have bloodlust with autocast on by default (complete)

india into a plus 4 china to a 8(or whatever the math comes to)

sa and africa back to old way
ukraine back to a +6
w europe into +3 on the left +4 on the right

1)  Increasing choke points at Australia, Brit Isles, Central America by 2 infantry widths (or there abouts)
2)  China/India territory split
3)  Eliminating southern section of Great wall of China so that it is no longer a maze just to get in (more realistic since the wall was only in a single line anyways)
4)  Slowing SS ships attack speed/movement speed
5)  Western Europe territory split

get rid of player in slot one making all the decisions. Either set it to a standard like the devo bot, or implement voting.

^QFT.  Of course it's the kind of problem that will work itself out to a point, eventually, as it did when the map was first released.  The weeks immediately preceding the ranked versions I saw far less incompetency; newbies who liked the game had learned it, newbies who didn't had stopped joining.  You'd still get the isolated incident, but what can you do. 

This time around it is just as bad as 1.01 release weeks and it's certainly annoying.  #615-617 today, all of which I and a small group of others were in, never started and we never got a response from the player 1.  Player 1 left in the first two, was afk in the third.  That isn't being a noob, that's being technically challenged, lagged out, or a dick.  For those reasons I'd agree there should be an auto-start/timer, at some point.  A voting system would never work, IMO, as there are too many options, and even if implemented then you'd need a timer after each option to combat afk/noobness in not just player 1, but all players!

As for the added/divided territories, my two cents is they've vastly improved the gameplay, especially at the start, but that there aren't enough atm.  Currently the place to be, for my part, is Asia/Europe, because it has the most 2-4 city territories in the closest proximity to each other.  They aren't perfect, Southern Asia and maybe Western Europe could use a split, but compared with places like NA and (esp) Aus, they're pretty defined. 

The other problem with having just a portion of the map small, players gain too much momentum having them.  With more divisions there's a better chance of running into another player growing just as quickly in the same region, which will be better balanced.

Well the whole stat system is flawed entirely anyway, in that its based mainly off kill/death ratio.

And since no game is ever the same, no one's states are ever calculated based off standardized games. The opportunity for high k/d's is not as great in games without ships, you play differently in games with fog, etc. There needs to either be a standard or a voting system in order for the stats to be calculated in fairness.

Tubby, right now we're basically testing the whole thing out. Think of the stats system and ranking system as being in beta. Once we get everything worked out, we'll likely wipe the stats and start over again.

i think america should be split up a bit sumhow like into east and west or north and and south or something and the left side of canada can be split north and south with the territories and provinces? canada is an if but i think america should def be split

i think you should change it so there are 2 teams in the loading area so people can change to player 1 if neccessary.

Definitely make a land bridge between Antartica and another contienent, every other contienent has one so its imbalanced ,in my opinion, that antartica doesn't have one, expecially in games where transport ships are only form of transportation.

Make greenland an island, make more 2-3 gold spots (many games someone is screwed because he has 9 spots and all of them are split up between canada, us, western europe, and southeast asia.  which makes game unfair to that person.   Plz do not implement a voting system because noobs always will vote out ss.  Plz do not put standard settings because the standard settings will not make any one group happy.  with ships, without ships, with fog, without fog, with bounty, without etc..  Please make it so if you leave in the first 2 min of game because you do not like the settings please do not make it count against rank..  also make disconnecting not count against rank as bad. (late game everyone starts to lagg and most games end because someone laggs out)  Plz do not ban same ip, but i would suggest if 2 ppl have the same ip, if one of them win, that they only get half the ranked points they would have if they were by themself.  cyrellius is only rank #19 because him and szawforest team most games, they always give the victory to cyrellius every time.  i have played 2 games with them, both times they teamed me.   It would be nice to see the percent of the map owned on the multiboard.  But the only thing i would stress is make the game more early game friendly by splitting bigger spots into smaller ones :)

I think that throwing a port at the back of greenland would make a world of difference. It is rather unbalanced, if u get greenland, u can camp there forever, especially with bounty. Either that or make entrances to greenland a tad bit more wide.
